Head Coach / Defense Coordinator

Avion Hale

​     Coach Hale is starting his first year as Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator of the Palm Beach Makos as they move into tenth year  anniversary. His Prior season was spent as the Head Coach of the South Florida Reapers summer Eight-Man football team, were he received coach of the year and won the 2018 league championship in the EXFL. He also holds a position as the Assistant Offensive and Defensive Varsity Line Coach at SunCoast High School for his second season, where he helped led them into a playoff berth in 2018. Prior to that he was the Owner and Head Coach of the Palm Beach Phantoms from 2012--2017, Owner/Head Coach of the Palm Beach Mariners from 2009-2012, Owner Head Coach of the Palm Beach Titans from 2007-2009, And Current Owner of the Eight-Man Extreme Football League which has been operations from 2015 to present.  His accolades include: 3 League Championship;   5 Division Championship; 3 Coaches of the year awards. Coach Hale shares, “I'm excited in given this opportunity to help with the Palm Beach Makos in their campaign for a Championship in the 2020 season and will do my best to help develop the Makos to being one of the premier teams in the FFA in 2020 and beyond.”

Ed Etheridge

Coach Edward D Etheredge graduated from Palm Beach Lakes High School in West Palm Beach, FL. His semi-pro experience is as a player with the Rivera Beach Panthers and Offensive Coordinator for the Southeast Florida Reapers. He was head coach at Inlet Grove from 2005- 2009 and also as a Quarterback coach and Offensive Coordinator. He is an assistant with Dwyer High School Varsity Football Team and is in his fourth year with the Makos where he has been the assistant head coach, defense coordinator and now the Offensive Coordinator.

 Linebackers / Safety

Naim Johnson

Coach Naim Johnson has 6 years as a Linebackers/Running Backs Coach. He played football at Royal Palm Beach High School and is a 2002 graduate. His minor league experience is as a running back and Middle linebacker with the Belle Glade Starrs for from 2005-2007, and the position with the Palm Beach Titans From 2009-2011. His coaching experience includes youth football from 2013 to present and currently coaching at Suncoast High School Varsity team.
